7 maart 1964 was het feest in Dublin! Er werd een jongetje geboren, dat Jamie genoemd werd. Hij groeide op in Bray en ging elektrotechniek studeren aan de UCD in Dublin. In 1986 kreeg hij een baan bij Philips in Eindhoven. En laat dat nou toevallig de plaats zijn waar op 3 mei 1968 Marion ter wereld gekomen was. Naast haar studie had Marion een bijbaantje als broodverkoopster bij de Albert Heijn., waar de mannelijke hoofdpersoon van dit sprookje wekelijks zijn tarwe rogge brood probeerde te kopen, op het tijdstip dat de vrouwelijke hoofdpersoon wel, maar het brood meestal niet meer aanwezig was! En als zij dus niet wekelijks stiekem dit favoriete brood van hem achter had gehouden, dan 
zou ten eerste dit huwelijk niet tot stand zijn gekomen, maar tevens zou de mannelijke hoofdpersoon waarschijnlijk verhongerd zijn… En aldus leefden ze nog lang en gelukkig en aten samen nog veel brood!
On the 7th of March 1964, a bouncing baby boy, Jamie was born in Dublin, Ireland. He grew up in Bray and studied electronic engineering at the UCD in Dublin. In 1986 he got a job with Philips in Eindhoven. This was exactly the place Marion was born on the 3rd of May 1968. She had a job, at the local supermarket Albert Heijn, as a bread saleswoman next to her studies. This is the point at which our hero enters this fairy tale. He tried each week close to closing time without fail at the supermarket to buy his favourite bread, usually at the time our heroine was there and the bread was long gone. Was it not for the fact that she secretly kept the bread back, than firstly there wouldn't have been a wedding and secondly, the hero probably would have died of starvation. And so they lived happily ever after and ate many a sliced pan together!
