Marion's jeugd
Op 3 mei 1968 werd Marion geboren in Eindhoven. Met haar ouders, Ria en Frans en haar broertje Peter verhuisde vanuit een flat naar een huis aan een rustig pleintje, waar ze heerlijk konden spelen. Ze groeide daar op, ging naar basisschool 't Startblok en had een aantal goede vriendinnen en had veel hobby's. Hiervan zijn onder de kop foto's een aantal leuke foto's te vinden en zo ook van de vele fijne vakanties die werden doorgebracht, vooral in Oostenrijk. Ze bracht met veel plezier haar middelbare schooltijd door aan het van Maerlantlyceum, waar ook naast de 
reguliere lessen van alles te doen was, volksdansen, broodbakken, koken, etc. In 1986 begon ze aan haar Letterenstudie aan de KUB in Tilburg, maar bleef wel lekker thuis wonen. Er werd wel verhuisd naar het ouderlijk huis van Marion's moeder.
Marion was born on the 3rd of May 1968. With her parents, Ria and Frans and her brother Peter moved from a flat to a house on a quiet square, where they could play as much as they liked. She grew up there and went to primary school 't Startblok and had a few good friends and a lot of hobby's. 'There's some pictures of that under the link 'pictures' and also from various great holidays, mainly in Austria. She spend her secondary school period at the Maerlantlyceum, where there was a lot to do, beside the regular lessons, like folkdancing, breadmaking, cooking, etc. In 1986 she started her Literary studies at the KUB in Tilburg, but kept on living at home. A move did take place though to the parental home from Marion's mother.
Het sprookje...
7 maart 1964 was het feest in Dublin! Er werd een jongetje geboren, dat Jamie genoemd werd. Hij groeide op in Bray en ging elektrotechniek studeren aan de UCD in Dublin. In 1986 kreeg hij een baan bij Philips in Eindhoven. En laat dat nou toevallig de plaats zijn waar Marion woonde en werkte. Naast haar studie had Marion een bijbaantje als broodverkoopster bij de Albert Heijn., waar de mannelijke hoofdpersoon van dit sprookje wekelijks zijn tarwe rogge brood probeerde te kopen, op het tijdstip dat de vrouwelijke hoofdpersoon wel, maar het brood meestal niet meer aanwezig was! En als zij dus niet wekelijks stiekem dit favoriete brood van hem achter had gehouden, dan zou ten eerste dit huwelijk niet tot stand zijn gekomen, maar tevens zou de mannelijke hoofdpersoon waarschijnlijk verhongerd zijn… En aldus leefden ze nog lang en gelukkig en aten samen nog veel brood!
The fairy tale...
On the 7th of March 1964, a bouncing baby boy, Jamie was born in Dublin, Ireland. He grew up in Bray and studied electronic engineering at the UCD in Dublin. In 1986 he got a job with Philips in Eindhoven. This was exactly the place Marion lived and worked. She had a job, at the local supermarket Albert Heijn, as a bread saleswoman next to her studies. This is the point at which our hero enters this fairy tale. He tried each week close to closing time without fail at the supermarket to buy his favourite bread, usually at the time our heroine was there and the bread was long gone. Was it not for the fact that she secretly kept the bread back, than firstly there wouldn't have been a wedding and secondly, the hero probably would have died of starvation. And so they lived happily ever after and ate many a sliced pan together!
Werk
Marion heeft na 3 jaar op de afdeling Jeugduitgaven en 6 jaar op de afdeling Beroeps- en Volwassenen Educatie bij Uitgeverij Malmberg in Den Bosch de overgestap gemaakt naar automatisering en is gaan werken op de afdeling Informatisering & Automatisering, waar ze eerst als Business Analist en later als Data Analist zich een aantal jaren bezig hield met het inrichten van een Datawarehouse, met E-business en het opleveren van analyses en rapportages voor de diverse marketing managers, planning & controle, het distributiecentrum en het management. Op 1 januari 2009 is ze overgestapt naar Sanoma Learning & Literature, (onderdeel van het moederbedrijf Sanoma), waar o.a. uitgeverij Malmberg (Nederland), uitgeverij van In (Belgie), Sanoma WSOY (Finland) en nog wat andere bedrijven in o.a. Polen en Hongarije deel van uitmaken. Daar is ze applicatiecoordinator geworden voor Business Intelligence en werkt nu o.a. met SAP en Business Objects.
Work
Marion worked for Malmberg's Youth magazine group in Den Bosch for 3 years and then for the Adult and Vocational Education group for 6 years. After this, she switched to the IT department. She has been working there as a Business Analyst for a good few years, building Data warehouse's, working at E-business and making analyses and reports for Malmberg's marketers, planners, controllers, logistics people and management. On januari the first 2009 she switched to Sanoma Learning & Literature, (part of Sanoma), where a.o. publishing offices Malmberg (Netherlands), van In (Belgium), Sanoma WSOY (Finland) and other companies in Poland and Hungary are part of. There she became Application Coordinator for Business Intelligence and is now working mostly with SAP and Business Objects.
